Early daysWhen Charlotte was born, her brother, Tyler, was 15 months old and her stepbrother, Reece, was six.  Her dad, Paul, and mum, Emma, didn't have permanent jobs. When she was six months old, they separated. For several months, Charlotte and her brothers alternated living with both parents. Eventually, Reece went to live with his dad and Emma, Charlotte and Tyler moved into a three-bedroom council house in a small village. New jobIn 2002, Emma joined the British Transport Police, first as a volunteer and then in the regular force. It's a competitive environment, which Emma enjoys. She has received a commendation for her work in catching a violent criminal. Charlotte blossomed at nursery school. By the time she was five, she was settled at school and Emma had a new partner.
