Tim Bearder

Instead of years of touring on the comedy circuit Ricky Gervais rocketed to stardom in the office and has only now started cutting his teeth on the road.

Listen to Bill Heine talking to Tim Bearder about the show.

That's not to say that the man is without his influences; he's delivered pizzas, being a DJ in London and even managed Suede.

His performance in the office was some times a little close to the edge but you could forgive the naivety of his character, but his stand up is one step further still.

BBC Radio Oxford's Bill Heine saw the show last night and he wasn't put off by the edgy content saying:

"What's comedy if it isn't something that questions things and sails pretty close to the wind; comedy isn't safe, if it is put it in the bin!"

By all accounts it was a riotous and hilarious show - but having sold out in less than 24 hours you'll have to be quick off the mark if you want to see him next time he comes to Oxford.
