During the course of four FREE group workshops, we'll help you script, record and edit a broadcast quality story to take away but which may also go out on air or be put online.

The workshops are designed to be fun and you'll get the chance to meet other people and hear their stories while you work on yours.

There are only four to a group, so perhaps you'd like to bring along some friends and make it even more of a social occasion?

You don't need any experience, as someone will be on hand to give you all the help you need.

All the workshops will be held at the BBC Oxford studios in the Banbury Road in Oxford - unless you've made arrangements for them to be hosted closer to home. (If you'd like the training to come to you then email abigail.uden@bbc.co.uk or ring Abigail on 08459 311 444).

Workshop one: The Gathering (90mins)
This is where you'll meet the other participants in your group and hear their stories for the first time. It's also a chance to see where you'll be working, fill out the paperwork and learn a little more about the process.

Workshop Two: The Story circle (one day)
This day is all about building your confidence and giving you ideas about writing your piece and getting feedback and advice from the rest of the group. We hope that you'll go away inspired about the story you'll be going to tell.

Workshop Three: Review and Record (90mins)
One to one training, where we'll go through your script, making sure you're happy with how it sounds, before doing some voice training and going on to record your story.

Workshop Four: Production workshop (one day)
Back in the group to load your story onto computer, edit it and add any sound effects or music that you think it might need and transfer it to CD. At the end of the day it's time to then relax and listen to everybody's completed stories.
