Damien Dempsey has been through the mill. His career kicked off when he was 20 when he released a novelty song. It made it to number 18 in the Irish charts received a lot of flak from fans then his career flat-lined while the monster of manufactured bands took hold of the industry.

Now the tables have turned again. He and other song writers are back in the shops and selling well. His latest album Seize the Day is on the verge of going multi platinum and he has recently supported big names like Bob Dylan and Morrissey.

In this interview you can hear Damien talking about how it's been for him in the industry over the last few years and what you can expect from his performance at Truck 2004.
