Even
if he does look a little bit embarrassed to be in the picture, it
is great to hear another band that feature the talents of Mr West.
I wonder
if he is some kind of free loader that works with everyone for money
and kind words or whether he is a creative genius who changes bands
everytime he has an artistic rage.
I guess
he's just a popular person. His sax makes him sound like a laid
back kind of fellow, easy going and cheery - a bit like Veda Park
really.

Like
they say in their press release it is a very different genre to
Oxford's norm. It doesn't stumble into any obvious rock standard.
It
sounds like late night driving music, rain splintering the chard's
of street lights like a prism on the windscreen as you nod off -
probably fatal in a gentle sort of way.
I think
they should tour America because I can't see a scene for them in
England. It's
just that the British seem to repel sax-pop after it killed the
post Beatle careers of the fab four and cause Bowie so many problems
in the 80's.
Give
it a listen and tell us what you thought by emailing oxford.online@bbc.co.uk
, I think it deserves three thumbs.
