The
Oxfordshire Branch of the British Computer Society are giving schools
in Oxfordshire the chance to design a website and win some great prizes.

Schools
compete for the impressive "Schools Computing Challenge Cup",
as well as many other desirable prizes for both individual, team members
and their school. Prizes awarded in previous years have included PCs,
software, MP3 players, and Micro Vaults.
Schools
must build a website (or a section of one). The idea of the competition
is for teams to show creativity and teamwork, and to produce a site
which is both interesting, attractive and useful to its relevant
audience.
The
objective of the competition is "to create some web pages with
a local theme related to your school work".
Schools
can use their own ideas for the content and subject of the web pages,
and they may be able to combine the competition with other projects
they are covering as part of the National Curriculum.
The
competition should give you a chance to:
-
create or improve a web site
- learn some new skills
- have some fun taking part
- be recognised for your skill and
hard work
- you can enter even if your school
is not yet
- connect to the Internet
You
