May 1st - Singing from Magdalen Tower 6am

Drinking, partying, singing and the occasional pencil dive from Magdalen bridge has long been associated with Oxford's May Day celebrations.

Jumping off Magdalen Bridge in full evening dress was once a cherished part of Oxford's May morning tradition but jumpers have been paralysed in the past and as a result the city council has put in place safety plans to cope with the several thousand people who are expected to gather near the bridge.
