Northmoor Trust Lambing Days
Your chance to get close to the new spring lambs
The Northmoor Trust just south of Oxford manages an estate of 300 hectares, including Little Wittenham Nature Reserve and Wittenham Clumps, a conservation farm, a woodland dedicated to forestry research and Project Timescape, the Trust's visitor centre.
Each year it holds Lambing Open Days where the public can come along and see the new arrivals and speak to the staff that will be on-hand to explain what it means to look after these animals on a working farm.
This year has the added bonus of the public being able to see the Hereford cattle which graze on the Wittenham Clumps. Visitors will get the chance to come face-to-face with their new born calves.
To keep the children entertained there will be sheep quizzes & activities for them to take part in.
The lambing open days take place on the last two weekends of March, 21st, 22nd and 28th, 29th March from 10am – 4pm. There is a £3 entrance fee for adults, children under 16 free.
