New Arrivals and Happy Feet

The Cotswold Wildlife Park has welcomed some brand new arrivals...

snake

One of the female green anacondas in the Reptile House has given birth to two beautiful babies.

Anacondas give birth live and do not, as is commonly thought, lay eggs. The gestation period of anacondas depends on the size of the snake, but the warmer the environment they live in throughout, the faster the pregnancy!

The Humboldt penguins have been tapping their happy feet during the recent cold weather – their pool completely iced over.

This penguin hatched at the park as a chick and has been hand reared by the keepers. As you can see, he’s doing well and is quite the ladies’ man.
