Andy Yorke interviewBy Tim Bearder Listen to Andy Yorke and Tim Bearder speaking during a live interview training session at The BBC. Audio and Video links on this page require Realplayer Andy Yorke formed the band Unbelievable Truth in 1994 in Oxford and after a turbulent time in the record industry washing machine he jacked it all in and took a break. He retrained at St Anthony’s college after his first degree at Hertford to work as a Russia specialist but after three or four years he started writing new songs. The body of work he wrote now forms his forthcoming album called Simple. Striking out on a solo career has meant enlisting the skills of some of his old band mates including Nigel Powell and Jason Moulster. With his fellow Unbelievable Truth crew rehearsed everything is set for a bit of a comeback starting in Oxford with a gig at The Jericho. Tangentially I’m currently under-going presenter training and part of this involves live tutor commentary in front of an excitable studio audience. Andy kindly agreed to be interviewed under these strained conditions for the good of my career. Have a listen to the results in the interview above. last updated: 06/07/07 SEE ALSOYou are in: Oxford > Entertainment > Music > Andy Yorke interview
