1. How did you get into radio?

Via the kettle and the photocopier.  I was working as a general dogsbody/researcher for a station called Capital FM in Nairobi.

2. What was your first broadcast?

Possibly a travel feature or motoring feature on that same station.

3. What other jobs have you done besides broadcasting?

I've sold sea grass furniture (badly), waitressed and been a polo groom.

4. What would you like to be if you weren’t a radio presenter?

I really wanted to be a showjumper - I rode throughout my childhood and into my twenties.

5. What would listeners be surprised to learn about you?

I'm quite shy and am useless at small talk.

6. Which person would you most enjoy being stuck in a lift with?

Jason Lee - star of 'My Name Is Earl'.  And whoever has decided not to schedule the second series of this show here in the UK.  But for VERY different reasons!!!  Lifts are soundproof aren't they?

7.  If you won the lottery, what would you do with the money?

Spend it?!?!?!

8.  What is your worst habit?

I'm quite... a bit ...okay ...very untidy.

9. Tell us about your 1st:
Car : Fiat Uno.
Job: The sea grass furniture sales rep.
Kiss: A guy called David at a friend's party.  I DO know his surname - I'm just not telling you.  He is a pilot now - very glam - we are still sort of in touch.
Record: Now 7 and Madonna True Blue.  Same shopping trip.

10. What is your favourite?
Food: Cheese!
Sandwich: Toasted steak and caramalised onions.
Place in Oxfordshire: The view on a clear day from Wittenham Clumps.
Item of clothing: The perfect pair of jeans.  The holy grail of wardrobes.
Song: The Dixie Chicks - Not Ready To Make Nice.
Singer: Too difficult to narrow it down.
Film: Out of Africa.
TV Show: Grey's Anatomy.

Jo Thoenes wants to hear from you!
