Richard Walters is a singer songwriter from Oxford who has always been a remarkable over-achiever. He’s still only 24 and yet he’s been playing music locally since he was 15. Walters signed his first publishing deal when he was 19 and in recent years he’s collaborated with Faithless and Noel from the Cranberries and is in talks to do some stuff on Zane Lowe’s next Breaks Co-Op project.

And despite all this he still remains something of an Oxford secret.

That said he recently had one of his songs All At Sea played on CSI: Miami and following that his Myspace account was swamped with interest. CDS, the American Broadcaster, said they’d never had a response like it and people even started using it at their weddings!

So realising that the new era of online DIY promotion is capable of achieving wonderful results I thought I’d try and combine another huge internet community in a bid to propel Richard into an undisputed position of global fame. I took him into The World Of Warcraft…
