X-Press 2 Preview

Nights where truly the biggest DJs on the planet drop into Oxford's venues are few and far between. Slide, Simple and some of the city centres major club nights have ‘big’ acts regularly. The arrival of X-Press 2 on Saturday the 18th of November though is set to mark the county’s biggest night of the year.

Ashley Beedle, Rocky and Diesel have been mainstays of the dance scene since the early 1990's but their biggest success was undoubtedly their track ‘Lazy’ which went straight in at number one in the charts in 2002. Last year the track ‘Give It’ received support from Radio 1 both on their daytime playlists and by a number of the specialist dance shows including Pete Tong and Annie Mac. Tracks from their new studio album ‘Makeshift Feelgood’, which was released in early October, are also receiving positive reviews.

All 3 members of X-Press 2 clan will be touching down for a special night at Oxford Brookes Student Union which will see their famous 6 deck show in action. The main room is being hosted by Slide and Simple, with Peepshow and Skylarkin’ in charge of room two. With all four nights involved it appears that the good and the great of Oxfordshire’s dance scene will be present for what is truly the biggest night in the county’s clubbing calendar.
