The Cotswold Wildlife Park in Oxfordshire has been loaned a very rare species of Iguana.
Adult Fijian Banded iguana
It’s the first time a Fijian Banded iguana has been hatched in the UK. At the moment it’s only 14 inches long but it will grow to about 24 inches - small compared to other Iguana’s like the Rhinoceros Iguanas.
The park is now looking for a European female mate for 7943 (the current name of the small green lizard) and we are looking to give him a proper name.
