Oxford bands are always up to strange things but when I heard about this latest little episode I fell of my chair and passed out. I actually have quite a feeble constitution. As the work experience fellow brought me round with the smelling salts all I could mumble was; “So take me through this again….” “The Oxford rock group Suitable Case For Treatment have persuaded the legendary news presenter and Oxford Brookes Chancellor Jon Snow to appear on their new track called Cow,” he said calmly. “It’s called Cow?”

“There’s more sir.” This is where I pass out again. Some time later…. “So tonight they were on Richard and Judy performing live with Jon.” “What’s the song about?” “A Welsh man who goes out, doesn’t meet anyone, and so has a bath.” At this point I assume, as any right-minded person naturally would, that I’m in a dream. I test this hypothesis by trying to fly out of the third floor window. I’m currently writing this from my hospital bed. I only know all of this happened because I have a recording of the whole thing on tape. Have a look for yourself! It includes the exclusive interview the band gave to BBC Oxford... Jon Snow is a legend. Richard and Judy and Cactus TV must be thanked for their support and permission for us to use this video. Oh, and a statue should be made of Suitable Case For Treatment to go somewhere on the Cowley Road to stand as an example that the strangest things can happen when you simply ask. |
