Thank goodness for ‘I Am Giant’. These new showcases of live music at The Mill are bringing new life to the local music scene in Banbury.

Great bands to have already made their mark at the venue in recent times have included The Walk Off, Fell City Girl, Sexy Breakfast, Suitable Case for Treatment, The Half Rabbits and Harry Angel.

Only last month The Download did a feature on the I Am Giant night which saw our interviewees AndNoStar play with Sunnyvale Noise Sub-Element and Zelega.

So mark Saturday the 18th of February in your diary. The latest guests are Oxford punks Junkie Brush, with Banbury bands EXP and Narcissism.

And listen to our audio as I Am Giant organiser Simon Carr speaks to Tim Bearder about the local scene.
