The Jam emerged during the punk explosion of the late 70s but carved their own path to musical greatness.

The Woking trio’s impressive string of hit singles included ‘Going Underground’, ‘Town Called Malice’, ‘Beat Surrender’, ‘Eton Rifles’, ‘Start’ and ‘That’s Entertainment.’

Paul Weller, Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler became superstars, and yet the band split up only five years after their first album. Paul Weller was keen to move on to other projects, including the Style Council and his own solo work.

Bruce speaks to Danny about the band’s legacy: the early days, their rise to fame and the break up, as well as his frustration at having his friendship ‘severed’ with Paul Weller.
