It needs no introduction - Grease is the word! Since breaking out on Broadway in 1972 Grease’s place has been firmly established in the cultural hall of fame, having seduced the hearts of millions with its back-to-back sizzling tunes and winning the viewers’ vote to become the Number One Greatest Musical of Channel 4’s “100 Greatest Musicals”.

In Bristol the show sold out seven weeks prior to arrival; at the Edinburgh Playhouse it was the first show since Showboat, twelve years earlier, to sell out before arrival.

Producer David Ian commented "I am absolutely delighted that Grease continues to thrill audiences both young and old and I truly believe it is the most popular musical of all time.”

Back on tour by popular demand, Grease hits the New Theatre, Oxford for a limited season from Monday 6 February until Saturday 11 February 2006.  Hayley Evetts (“Pop Idol”, “Popstars”, and “Cruel Summer”) will star as Sandy whilst Paul Manuel (West Side Story and Les Misérables) takes on the role of Danny.
