From the 31st of October for four weeks Oxford student radio will be broadcasting live on FM. OXIDE, which normally broadcasts through the year over the internet will be going out live on 87.9FM.

The station prides itself on producing more speech-based radio than any other student out-fit in the country.  You can tune in for a mix of music, news, entertainment, discussion, culture and comedy - and get involved, by emailing or texting the studio.

OFCOM rules stipulate that they can only go on FM for two, four week slots every year. If you live in Oxford make sure you can catch them while you can and if you’re outside the Oxford ring road you can still listen on their website www.oxideradio.co.uk.

And of course the station's editor can always be hear providing the county with the most up-to-the-minute clubbing and music guide on BBC Oxford’s local music programme The Download every Saturday evening between 6 and 7.
