As an avid Radio 4 listener Jeremy Hardy is a bit of a legend for me. He features on the very best shows like the News Quiz and I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue not to mention his own Sony Radio Award nominated Jeremy Hardy speaks to the nation.

On November 15, 2005 he is bringing his startling intellect and glorious wit to The Oxford Playhouse but he’s at pains to point out that it won’t be a glamorous theatrical performance.

He’s hoping to get paid and acknowledges that the audience can eat an ice cream in the interval and that's about as far as he'll go. His press release describes it as "not so much a one-man show as an under-staffed cavalcade".

Listen to my interview above if you want to find out a tiny bit more about the man that is drier than a sand cracker sandwich and yet funnier than the Queen giving a speech in which she’s failed to notice she has a bit of noodle stuck on her forehead.
