Prosthetic limb
Would a child starting in reception, benefit from a statement if they had a prosthetic arm. How long would this process take and what support would be available.
-
I think that the child would benefit from having a statement if they need help with things like writing etc. Maybe they would need equipment to help them, or extra support from a teacher to help them if they take longer to write.
The statementing process is quite a long one, you have to ask your childs teacher for an assessment, and then the decision can take up to 12 weeks I think.. Im not too sure on that, but I think it is roughly around 12 weeks.
Good luck.
