The ITV one week drama 'Collision' was on last week. I think it was a brilliant drama, well written and very well made.
Anyways the daughter of the main character Jodie I think, is in a wheelchair after a car accident the ultimatly killed her mother and paralysed her. Once again however the actress who plays Jodie (Jo Woodcock) who dont get me wrong is a lovely actress but she is able-bodied.

I didn't see much of this as the only bit I saw had the road stioll closed a day or so after the accident and I can't see that happening on a key trunk route unless there was a massive incident. Even the 50+ vehicle incident on the A1 in 2002 only closed the road for 12 hours.

Was the charater only ever seen in bed or as a wheelchair user or did it show her before the collision? If the latter than surely that's got to be acceptable.

No - we only saw her in her wheelchair or sitting on the sofa. The part could easily have been played by a disabled actor.

In that case then a disabled actor would have been preferable without a doubt.

Yea I just don't get it there wasn't even 1 scene of her before the accident so I'm not quite sure why they chose to go with a non-disabled actor.
