aww, thanks noiseyworld.
pain has eased a bit although I still can't put a sock and shoe on my right foot without help cos I can't bend my right leg at all.....quite frustrating 
had to ask a neighbour to put my sock and shoe on my right foot this morning. She was very good about helping but I felt uncomfortable (as usual) asking for assistance. I made a joke about it when she had done I said "Thank you Mummy" and then we both had a giggle. I really hope this is only a temporary glitch with regard to my current mobility status; fingers crossed.
