Since we're quick to rant when things go wrong I thought I would report an instance of good service.
Last night the fan and rear window heater in my car weren't working. I thought a fuze had blown. Today I went to Halfords and a very helpful young man came out and checked all the fuzes in the car when he could have just sold me a fuze. All the fuzes were fine and as I was driving home the fan and heater worked.
So, Thankyou Halfords.

Without finding which fuse had blown, how would he have known which fuse to sell you?
Great to hear a good news story, but I suspect that unless you knew which specific fuse you needed, he HAD to check them anyway! This is a reply to this message.

Fair enough. If it was me, I'd have to take the fuse out to see what ampage it's for. I know a lot about my car but not the rating of every fuse in it! Glad it got sorted, anyway.

its nice and refreshing to hear positive experiences on forums like this. We get so bogged down with all the discrimination and negative expereinces that we tend to forget or even not notice when people are fair or go out of their way to be kind.
Maybe we should have a 'good expereinces' thread. This is a reply to this message.

The car's handbook lists them all.
