Directed by Tim Steiner, and performed by 30 accordionists, young musicians from Bromley Youth Music Trust and the Young Music Makers, and members of the BBC Symphony Orchestra as part of the BBC SO's January Composer Weekend.
What was WITH ONE ACCORD all about?
Created by the performers during an intensive weekend of workshops, With One Accord started with an improvisation exploring the sound world of the combined forces of the ensemble. This improvisational work was inspired by the harmonic processes and gestural and textural structures of Sofia Gubaidulina's accordion concerto, Under the Sign of Scorpio.
