BBC Family Music Intro

BBC Family Music Intro gives families the opportunity to experience live classical music for only £5 per ticket.

Family Music Intro Workshop

Your evening starts at 6.00pm with a Family Music Intro workshop, where you will meet some of the players from the orchestra. As they tell you about the music and the composers you're going to hear, there'll be a chance for you to try things out for yourselves. Bring a musical instrument if you've got one!

Who can book Music Intro tickets?

The BBC Family Music Intro scheme is aimed at families with children aged 16 and under. At least one member of your group must be aged 16 or under. Workshops are designed specifically for children aged 7 and over and their families.

How to Book

All tickets cost £5*. Each ticket includes entry to the Family Music Intro workshop at 6.00pm and to the main concert in the Barbican Hall. Book by calling the Barbican Box Office on 020 7638 8891 and quoting 'BBC Music Intro Offer', or book online at www.barbican.org.uk and quote BBC Music Intro promotional code 040679.

Please note, there are a limited number of Family Music Intro tickets available for these concerts, and they often sell out very quickly!
