BBC Family Music Intro
-
May 2011
Experience the best of classical music for only £5 a seat with the BBC Symphony Orchestra's Family Music Intro scheme. Involve the whole family and bring them to a family-friendly workshop at the Barbican followed by a classical music concert performed by the BBC Symphony Orchestra.
What is BBC Family Music Intro?
Your evening starts at 6.00pm with a BBC Family Music Intro workshop where you will meet some of the players from the Orchestra. As they tell you about the music and the composers that you'll be hearing in the evening's concert, you'll also get the chance to try a few things out for yourself. You can even bring a musical instrument along if you have one. By the time you take your seat in the Barbican Hall, you'll know a lot more about the music than when you arrived!
Who can book BBC Family Music Intro?
The Family Music Intro scheme is aimed at families with children aged 16 and under. At least one member of your group must be aged 16 or under. Workshops are designed specifically for children aged 7 and over and their families.
