Three Little Pigs at The Bridgewater Hall?!
The BBC Philharmonic’s family concert returns to The Bridgewater Hall on Saturday 5 April with a host of fantastic classical music from films, operas and symphonies.
The performance starts at 3pm and TV presenter Chris Jarvis will join the Orchestra on stage, leading you through the show as the BBC Philharmonic performs each of the musical delights.
Tecwyn Evans will conduct a programme that includes Britten’s
Storm from Peter Grimes, Williams’
Hedwig’s Theme from Harry Potter, Prokofiev’s
Capulets and Montagues from
Romeo and Juliet, Patterson’s
3 Little Pigs (includes narration of the Roald Dahl poem) as well as the theme tune from
Wallace and Gromit.
The concert is aimed at children aged seven to thirteen, but everyone is welcome. There will be all sorts of activities in the foyer before the concert, including arts and crafts, local music groups and a magician.
Tickets are priced at
£5 for Children, £8 for Adults or £20 for a group of four (group can be made up of children and/or adults). Disabled Patrons are entitled to half price tickets for themselves and their companion at any time. The ticket price applies to all areas of the Hall so early booking is recommended to secure fantastic seats!
