The BBC Philharmonic places players from the Orchestra right into the heart of the community, where the musicians share their professional experience supporting, assisting, teaching and encouraging others to share their love of music and the arts.
Adventurous projects that nurture creativity, innovation and experimentation for all participants have been the cornerstone of our work in the community. We hope that our on-going work locally, nationally and internationally will continue to capture the imaginations of the many people that we work with.
Our aims:
- To provide our community with access points to a range of musical and artistic experiences
- To provide more opportunities for our community to deepen and broaden their musical interests and skills
- To identify, nurture and support our most talented young musicians
- To provide our community with appropriate support structures for continued music making
