FALLA The Three-cornered Hat Suites Nos. 1 and 2
RODRIGO Concierto en modo galante
BIZET Carmen (suite selected by Juanjo Mena)
Juanjo Mena Conductor
Chief Conductor Juanjo Mena celebrates the fire and passion of his home country in a concert of Spanish musical magic.
Manuel de Falla’s ballet suites open the programme with their Flamenco-inspired rhythms, followed by the jolly and easy going Concierto en modo galante from Rodrigo. We indulge in a suite of music from Bizet's famous Carmen, specially selected by Juanjo Mena, and close with Boléro, one of the most-loved Hispanic themes.
