The BBC Singers explore the history of mankind in flight – from Icarus to Amy Johnson – in music for choir and pianola, including a new piece by BBC Singers' Associate Composer Gabriel Jackson. Pianola player Rex Lawson demonstrates the artistry of this extraordinarily ingenious and sophisticated musical instrument, performing both arrangements and original works composed for it.
