Family Orchestra and Chorus Workshop
with the BBC Symphony Orchestra
Sunday 20 October 2013, 11am
BBC Maida Vale Studios, Delaware Road, London W9 2LG
Come and join the BBC SO and BBC Singers for our next exciting Family Orchestra and Chorus workshop!
The Family Orchestra and Chorus is an ensemble for all ages, all instruments, and all levels of ability. It's a chance for families to make music together, joining members of the BBC Symphony Orchestra and BBC Singers in a fun family-friendly workshop to compose new music from scratch together.
All abilities are welcome. Whether you're a virtuoso violinist, budding trumpet player, or if you're completely new to music, you can come along and sing in the chorus or join the percussion section. You don't need to be able to read music.
This is a chance for the whole family to join together to create some exciting new music alongside workshop leader Lincoln Abbotts and a team of fantastic musicians and singers from the BBC Symphony Orchestra and BBC Singers! It's free to take part, and open to anyone over the age of 7. All participants under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied throughout by a parent or guardian aged 18 or above.
Please note that this event is now full. Any further requests will be added to a waiting list.
The next Family Orchestra & Chorus event will take place in May. Details will be announced soon. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up for the BBC SO Learning mailing list.
