The winner of the Gold Medal at last year's Tchaikovsky Competition makes his Scottish debut with Elgar's elegiac concerto. Another young star, Andrew Gourlay, conducts three wonderful Nordic pieces that reflect the natural world, beginning with Nielsen's glorious musical sunrise and ending with the great swan theme at the climax of Sibelius's Fifth.

How to get there
- The market town of Haddington is 20 miles East of Edinburgh along the A1 dual carriageway. Travelling East take the second exit to Haddington - St Mary's is signposted from the main road. Look to the South, and you will see the old church tower in the distance.
- Wheelchair access is via the North door, inside which you will also find toilet facilities. The doorbell here is to allow the disabled to alert those inside, so help can be given with access.
