Dreams Can Come True

Jessie talks about her readiness for the role of Nancy

Now that she is just one performance away from the deciding public vote, we talked to Jessie about some of her feelings about the competition and the future.

Do you feel you're ready for this role?

'I'm not perfect, but I have Nancy in me. I know I'm ready because I have waited for a part like this and it just feels right.'

'I think I have rawness. I feel I have the heart of Nancy that the others don't have as much. I know its right.'

Is having your family there for support important to you?

'Being on stage and seeing your family in the crowd with their banners and T-shirts is amazing. I'm so glad I can give something back to them. For my mum to say she is so proud of me. My sisters know that dreams can come true.'

What would it feel like walking on stage as Nancy for the first time?

'If I got the opportunity to do that, it would be one of the most special moments of my life. It's something we've been working towards for nearly half a year now. It's an overwhelming feeling.'
