Sam Gives It Her All

Sam talks about the semi-finals sing-off

Sam talks about the semi-finals sing-off

After being saved by Andrew in the semi-finals sing-off, Sam is now one of the remaining three Nancy finalists. We caught up with her to talk about her last performance and her plans for the big final.

How did it feel to be in the sing-off against Rachel?

'On the night of the semi-finals I looked around and saw there were three amazing girls who had just performed three amazing songs, so I thought if I'm in the sing-off I'm not going to be ashamed because everyone put up an amazing fight. I was absolutely gutted, but at no stage was I prepared to give up.'

How did it feel to be chosen over Rachel?

'It was a massive shock to me. I didn't think I'd be saved against Rachel so that was a bizarre feeling. The sing-off was horrible but to make it into the final was just the most amazing feeling.'

What will be your approach to training for the final?

'My approach to this week is staying completely focussed as I have done for this whole competition.'

Are you looking forward to next Saturday?

'My feelings for Saturday are a complete mixture. I'm half petrified because it's one of the scariest things I'll ever have to do, but I'm also really excited. I've been in the sing-off, I've got to the final and I'm going to give it my all.'
