He Could Be Oliver!

Johnny is the latest Oliver to go through.

Johnny is the latest Oliver to go through.

The eighth and final prospective Oliver to secure a place in the semi-final was announced today, on BBC ONE's I'd Do Anything.

He is 13-year-old JONNY from Warwickshire.

Apart from acting and singing, Jonny's ambition is to become a marine biologist when he's older. A Hollyoaks and Horrid Henry fan, his favourite musical – apart from Oliver – is Wicked.

The Oliver semi-finalists already through are Gwion, 11-year-old from Carmarthenshire; Chester, 12-year-old from Middlesex; Arthur, 10-year-old from Bristol; Kwayedza, 13-year-old from Kent; Alexander, 11-year-old from London; Harry, 12-year-old from Oxfordshire and Laurence, 11-year-old from Cheshire.

Three boys will succeed in their quest to win the title role in Cameron Mackintosh's new West End production of Oliver!

All twelve boys sang Reach by S Club 7 in tonight's show; previously they had been monitored and mentored in an on-going process during which both Andrew Lloyd Webber and Cameron Mackintosh continue to assess their individual progress.

The lucky winning Olivers will be revealed on the semi-final show on BBC ONE, Saturday 24 May.

Congratulations also to Gareth, Jordan, Joseph and Sam for all doing so well over the course of the series. Click here for more about them.
