Training Round-up

It's quarter finals time, so how are the Nancys doing?

It's quarter finals time, so how are the Nancys doing?

Last week Andrew set a challenge for Jodie – he wanted to see if she can move. She's been working hard with Kevan the choreographer all week, and she's ready to show Andrew what she's made of. 'I've got a lovely frock, a corker of a song, and I want to get out there and step up to the challenge,' she told us. 'Step aside Bonnie Langford!'

Jessie has been spending a lot of time focussing on her choreography during training too this week, even spending her break times going through the group dance routines. But as well as hard work, a Nancy needs her rest. At the end of a hard day, she told us, 'I've got to get home and get to bed as am exhausted!'

Samantha has been working hard with Donna the performance coach to make sure her diction is clear. After a run through Donna encouraged her, 'I will give you a 5 for that, I want an 8!'

Rachel enjoyed rehearsing the group number with the Olivers yesterday, and took to demonstrating some silly dance moves to keep them entertained. And in the Nancy group number, Donna was complimentary about her 'armography' skills. Jodie was confused, asking, 'armography? Is that a real word?'

Niamh has been working hard with Donna too this week, and welcomed any constructive criticism. 'Don't worry about being insensitive, don't hold back,' she told Donna. 'Everyone seems to think I'm really sensitive, but I'm really not. Let it go!' Donna replied, 'she's getting all ballsy, I like that!'
