The quater-final countdown begins
Dust off your flat cap and dig out your corset, the I'd Do Anything quarter-finals are just around the corner! Last weekend saw another Nancy bow out of the race for the West End and with just three more weeks to go, the dressing rooms are getting emptier and emptier.
I arrived at Television Centre at three o'clock on Saturday afternoon. By this point it was a matter of only a few hours before show time. The rest of the film team and I headed upstairs to watch all of the finished VTs that would play out during both the main and the results show. For the film team it's a chance to see the end result of our week's work. But it's not over there...
Before the dress rehearsal started, we grabbed our cameras and headed downstairs to chat to the girls. As always, the time flew by and before we knew it Studio 1 was alive with the sound of Nancyness. The film team took to their usual spot backstage, right where the Nancys come off after their performances. Each time they come off stage we're there to interview them about how it went and what the panel thought of their performance. Sometimes it's tears, but mostly its smiles!
As soon as the show came off air, we then scurried around the building talking to all the girls' friends and family. Each week the cameras keep rolling into the night as the film team follow the girls back to the Nancy Mansion.
For the rest of the team, all eyes turn straight to the following week's show. This weekend five must become four. And with only one person able to take the ultimate prize, the pressure is on for the remaining girls.
But fear not... with a camera in hand, the film team will be there every step of the way, making sure all the very best from Nancyland gets straight to your screen!
