From Sunday 10th November until December 7th Nottingham Trent University will be taking to the airwaves once more, with the best new music and celebrity interaction, hundreds of prizes and the most original some might even say, 'risqué' shows in Nottingham.

Fly FM is the only radio station in the Nottingham area to target 18 - 24 year olds, providing shows and music for students, presented and selected by students.

Music News by Andy Needham (Head of Music)
A shed load of music has been pouring into the Fly FM studios and we've got some awesome tunes to play.

New addition to Fly Fm
Interviews with Bands - kicking off with JJ72, The Libertines, Suede and Melaton. Later in November we'll be meeting up with Hundred Reasons and Reef to talk about their forthcoming albums. Stay tuned to find out the latest new music and band news on 107.6 Fly Fm.

Radio One Student Awards
For the second year running Fly FM has reached the final of the prestigious Student Radio Awards - the most sought after national awards in university radio.

Adam Leventhal and James Mountain whose show, The Lounge, has been nominated for a prestigious award
Last week the nominations were announced at the Student Radio Association's Regional Radio Day hosted at Loughborough University to reveal that 'The Lounge', has been nominated for both 'Best Show' and 'Best Specialist Show'.

The Lounge, presented and produced by students Adam Leventhal and James Mountain played the latest in house music from around the world.

Elements that helped the show to stand out from other entries included first rate turntablism, an interactive website designed by Camilla Felstead alongside interviews with world famous DJs.

Adam and James, who won the 'Best Show' award last year, are shocked at being nominated again: "We did believe that our entry was compiled from some of the best work we have ever done, but we are both extremely surprised that we have been nominated again. It's a fantastic achievement, and we're looking forward to going down to London again to find out if we've won. We wanted to give people something different, so doing all the extra stuff has really paid off."

Through winning last year's award Adam and James flew to Miami to work alongside renown DJs including Giles Peterson, Tim Westwood and Jazzy Jeff.

They are currently preparing to launch a new show on Radio Aire in Leeds.
