The grounds of Nottingham Castle are transformed into
a medieval village one weekend every year for the Robin Hood Pageant.
This year the event will be taking place on Saturday, 23rd and Sunday,
24th October 2004 at Nottingham Castle.
Historical re-enactments will bring the past to life... The Castle
Green will be amok with action as the outlaws and Sheriffs men
come to blows, on and off horseback.
All your favourite characters will be there to join in the fun
from Friar Tuck, if he can be lifted onto his horse, to the fair Maid
Marian, held at the mercy of the Sheriff.

Craftspeople will demonstrate skills that have been
passed down through the centuries wood turning, shoe making
and coin striking to name a few.
Jugglers, jesters and medieval puppeteers will be on hand to entertain
the youngsters.
You'll be able to learn to fire a bow and arrow like Nottinghamshire's
most famous legend.
You can marvel at the Nottingham Jousting Association as they risk
life and limb (well nearly) on the field.
The question on everybodys lips is whether Robin Hood himself
will dare to appear at the home of his arch enemy to save her and
save the day!
