Funeral 'hope' to mark end to bullying
Friends gather for Morgan's funeral

Friends gather for Morgan's funeral

The funeral has taken place of a 13 year old who, her family say, took her own life because she was the victim of continual bullying.

At the service for Morgan Musson, the vicar said that her death should give us the courage to speak out against bullying.

The funeral cortege arrived in bright Autumn sunlight at the church of St Leodegarius in the Basford district of Nottingham.

Morgan's oak casket was topped with two floral tributes from her parents and a teddy bear from her brothers and sisters.

A sight parents never want to see

Her stepfather Vince Savage and her grandfather Harold Wadsley were among the pallbearers who led family and close friends into the 12th century church.

Morgan Musson was found dead at her home in Nottingham a week last Thursday. She'd taken 40 painkillers.

Her family say she was the victim of bullying at her school, Ellis Guildford Comprehensive. They believe it was because her height, she was six feet tall.

Morgan was later buried in the grandmother's grave in Wilford Hill. Her mother had said she never wanted her daughter to be alone again.
