Hollywood bids for UFO video
Hollywood

Hollywood bound? But will the alien video ever make it to California?
Just 24 hours after the Hollywood Oscars , the home of the blockbuster is trying to snap up footage of an alleged alien sighting currently being held in a Nottingham bank.

It's a month since residents in the Derbyshire village of Bonsall released images of what they claimed was a UFO flying over their homes.

They were so worried the video might fall into unscrupulous hands that they placed it in a Nottinghamshire bank vault for safe keeping.

From here to Nottingham? That's quite a trip

The identity of the bank has never been revealed.

However, news of the supposed sightings has travelled across the Atlantic.

When BBC Nottingham Online highlighted the strange tale a researcher in America picked up on the story.

Greg Cannone works for a television production company in Hollywood, California. He's compiling footage on alleged alien encounters for a television special.

A still from the video which is getting Hollywood excited

The mysterious Bonsall village UFO video, hidden somewhere in the heart of Nottingham, could easily be the centrepiece of the production.

Greg just needs to track down the owners and, as befits the world of Hollywood, negotiate a deal.

Sharon Rowlands is the woman who claims to have shot the six and a half minute video, so if you're out there, or there's someone who knows you, get in touch with BBC Nottingham Online and we'll tell Hollywood.

Who knows, you could be at next year's Oscars!
