We've been pretty surprised at the amount of tributes
that have flooded in since the death of Frank Robinson.

 |
| Julie Dukes
created BBC Radio Nottingham's floral tribute in the shape of
a xylophone. |

One thing is for sure - the people of Nottingham
are demanding a lasting memorial to the busker known to most as
Xylophone Man.

Two weeks before Frank died I was in Nottingham
with my girlfriend and I introduced her to Frank and we chatted
about how he had been there (outside former C&A, which
is now a big chain store here in Spain by the way) since I
was a little lad. Anyway, she took the attached photo of Frank
and me, which as it happens was my last opportunity to do
so. Christopher Goodall Short (Málaga Spain)

It seems pressure might be having an affect. The
leader of Nottingham City Council, Cllr Jon Collins, says there
will be a civic memorial to the man. As yet nothing definite has
been agreed.
But plenty of ideas have been suggested by the
people of Nottingham, ranging from statues, naming a tram or a street
after him, creating a wind chime, building a giant xylophone that
children can play.
Artist Debbie Boote is planning to sell her painting
of Frank as a limited edition and we've had cartoons of the man
as well.

If you have any images of Frank we could include
in a gallery, send them
