Robin Hood did the business again as thousands of people gathered at Nottingham Castle to celebrate the hero/outlaw.

For two days (25th - 26th October 2003), the grounds of the castle were taken back to the 12th Century as knights and peasants mixed with tourists and modern day Nottingham folk.
There were stalls, falconers, jesters and knights will to joust for the gathered crowd.
Our photographer Andy Zadora was there to capture the atmosphere.

Craftspeople were on hand to demonstrate skills that have been passed down through the centuries – wood turning, shoe making and coin striking to name a few.
You could even learn how to fire a bow and arrow like Nottinghamshire's most famous legend.
For many people the highlight of the two days was the jousting with Robin Hood taking on Sir Guy of Gisbourne while the Sheriff of Nottingham looked on.
