Did you ever
think you were good with the guitar? Particularly an imaginary air
guitar?
If the answer
is yes, then you could put your skills into practice and win a brand
new stratocaster guitar.
The Nottingham leg of the UK Air Guitar Championships 2002 takes
place at The Social this coming Sunday 28th July, and you could
be there!
The winner will
be declared the regional champion and may get the chance to compete
in the final in London.
Each contestant has to bring three minutes of music either on tape,
vinyl or CD, they then have to perform for the three minutes infront
of three judges and the audience.
The UK Air Guitar
Championships were first realised at the Lift Club, Brighton, in
1995, when a handful of drunken revelers thought it would be funny
to see who could play the best air guitar.
From then on,
the championships have got bigger every year and it now seems it's
out of control!
Air guitar
fever has even hit our office, so much so we caught our team in
mid-strum. Below are the pictures.

| Eric does
'The 'Walk of Life'. |
 |
| Dan goes
down in a 'Blaze of Glory'. |
 |
| 'Some Might
Say' Chris' guitar is a strange shape. |
 |
| Neil carries
on as his 'guitar gently weeps'. |
 |
| Simon has
'good vibrations'. |
 |
| Doug plays
'smoke on the water'. |
Who's the best,
or more importantly who has made the biggest fool of themselves?
Don't forget, all you have to do to take part in the UK Air Guitar
Championships at the Social this Sunday 28th July, is complete the
