Natalie DuncanBy Kristi Genovese BBC Blast Reporter, Nottingham The soul, jazz and folk singer Natalie Duncan has a big voice with a small ego. The BBC is not responsible for the content of external websites Natalie has been writing music ever since she can remember. On stage she is accompanied by her band who play cello, saxophone, guitar and drums. She says: "I've been working with a guy called Ben Martin who does all the arrangements for the songs. The rest of musicians are all ridiculously fantastic in their own right." Natalie is signed to Nottingham's Farmyard Records. They have been giving her the opportunity to play live and have released her EP. ModestyNatalie is in the middle of writing new songs which will make it on to her album when it eventually comes out. "I'm keen to start writing creatively as well." More and more Nottingham bands are recommending her yet she still doesn't believe she has any fans. She's both beautiful and modest. "I don't know if I really have any. Maybe my mum and my dad and I thank them for coming to my gigs." Natalie's ideal gig includes some big names. "Bob Dylan, Aretha Franklin, Coco Rosis and Arcade Fire would be good. I like Nottingham bands Swimming and Hhymn."
