Radio presenter Graham Wright

Graham Wright

Frank Sinatra fan and self-confessed 'fair weather' cyclist, Graham is passionate about local heritage, local radio and real ale.

Graham Wright has been a radio presenter across the East Midlands for 23 years, but has always stayed in Nottinghamshire, because he loves the city and county.

He has lived in Clifton, The Meadows and Sneinton Dale before moving to his marital home in Ruddington.

Past broadcasting highlights include driving a Land Rover through a lake, almost being knocked down by a vintage tractor whilst interviewing MP Alan Duncan (at the very moment a new bypass was opened!) and reporting "live" from the deck of the QE2 as she sailed home on one of her last ever journeys to Southampton. But he is looking forward to many more memorable moments!

Graham is passionate about local radio and heritage - from the many larger historic buildings in our area down to the cosy traditional pubs still to be found 'in town' and the surrounding villages. A pint or two with friends in Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem is his ideal night out!

As well as being a member of Nottingham's Campaign for Real Ale he is also part of the Grantham Canal Society, an avid collector of 7" singles for his 1970s jukebox, a member of Nottingham Writers' Club, an occasional pianist and a 'fair weather' cyclist.

He still tries to buy British whenever he can, but achieved his dream of owning a Rover 75 just as the company went bust. So he is now saving up for an Aston Martin…

Frank Sinatra is still his all time hero and he likes a wide range of music from the 1930s to the current charts "as long as it has a tune".
