Love Ends Disaster! on 'City of Glass'

Nottingham band Love Ends Disaster! have been working on an album titled 'City of Glass'.

City of Glass is named after the American writer Paul Auster's short story about identity and existentialism.

"It sounds totally pretentious, but then we are a little bit pretentious, maybe... in a good way.

"It's all about identity and a lot of the songs fit that with [tracks] Suzanne, Alexander - they're very character driven."

The album should be ready by the end of 2009.

"It's pretty much done so we're going to work out who's going to release it which is the less fun part."

"Nothing is set in stone... it'll be out soon."

Biography

Love Ends Disaster! formed at Loughborough University in 2006.

Later, they were picked up by Denial Records, the label behind the first studio recordings of Bloc Party.

Two EPs followed, 'Stories For The Dislocated' and 'Faster, Faster'. They also found themselves sharing a stage with Babyshambles.

Their debut single 'Ladders' only took a week to sell-out and was a favourite of both Colin Murray and Huw Stephens of Radio One.
