FaithYou are in: Nottingham > Faith > Faith pulled me through ![]() Faith pulled me throughFourteen years ago Lisa Cheung was in a head on collision on the A453. She says her faith and the power of positive thinking saved her life. Lisa ended up in a field with multiple fractures. When her family saw her in hospital they thought she was going to die but she says she held on to her faith. All of her limbs were affected by the accident and Lisa had to learn how to do everything again. Walking, reading... "But I found the most difficult part was learning how to use chopsticks." Lisa was 39 at the time. At first she thought 'why me?'. "Then I thought 'no, through this I am going to learn other things through my faith in the Lord'." She's changed her career and now works in the Braille Bureau at Notts County Council. She sings in her church choir and has twice entered the X-Factor, reaching the second round both times. She says a positive outlook on life has helped her get better. "Because of those positive thoughts and my prayers to the Lord and the prayers of all my friends and family it has brought me through. Without that positive thought I would not be walking or working now." Lisa says she has also found answers to her questions in the Bible.
