PresentersYou are in: Nottingham > Local Radio > Presenters > Robin Chipperfield ![]() Robin ChipperfieldRobin's our main sports presenter and you can hear him on Matchday every Saturday afternoon from 13:30. He's always been a keen watcher of sport, rather than a player, but you might find him (very) occasionally on the five-a-side pitch, or more often on one of Nottinghamshire's lovely golf courses. He came to the county in 1999 after several years reporting on his beloved Southend United. "In the end, it just became too painful," he adds with a tear almost visible in his left eye. "I remember watching Test cricket at Trent Bridge on the telly years and years ago, and being able to see the City Ground and Meadow Lane in the same picture. I thought at the time... what a great place that would be to work. And now I'm privileged enough to do so." Away from the sporting arenas, Robin loves a good night out in the city to take advantage of some of Nottingham's great restaurants, and also loves politics, The West Wing and 24!
